SPECIALTY EQUIPMENT
Desiccant Drying 2,000cfm-9,000cfm
By utilizing the the Drimax 5005S trailer mounted Desiccant Dryers we are able to dry out large areas faster and more efficiently. A desiccant dehumidifier uses a silica gel rotor to remove moisture from the air. As wet air passes through the rotor, the silica gel adsorbs
moisture. A desiccant returns dry air to the affected area and exhausts wet air to the outside of the structure. Since a desiccant does not depend on air temperature to dehumidify, it's an excellent choice for difficult drying situations, multi-story losses and reducing the overall drying time of an environment.
Thermal Imaging
Thermal Imaging cameras are used to evaluate a loss, quickly and non-destructively. We are able to scan walls, floors, roofs, exterior finishes and more. The temperature difference created by the presence of moisture will appear differently than the surrounding area. Monitoring drying curves with our ThermalScan IRC-3000 can greatly reduce drying time. By locating problem areas, simple changes in equipment placement can be made. To reduce liability, at the completion of the job, thermal images can be provided to the customer and insurance adjuster to prove the building has been properly dried.
Media Blasting
Soda blasting is an environmentally friendly way of removing microbial growth, graffiti, paint, dirt, coatings, and other surface contaminants that will not cause damage to the surfaces being cleaned. The soda blaster is a non-abrasive action. The action of sodium bicarbonate will not cause heat build up, sparks, or abrasion to the surface being cleaned.
Dri-force Wall Dryers
The DriForce injects high-pressure air at baseboard level into wet wall cavities under negative pressure. The exhaust is filtered through a HEPA which can effectively dry a wall cavity that may have contamination. It's perfect for hard-to-reach areas like behind cabinets, tubs, under stairwells, and wallpapered walls etc.
Ultrasonic Cleaning
Ultrasonic cleaning, commonly referred to as precision cleaning has been used by various industries for decades. This method of cleaning is especially effective when cleaning items of intricate detail or unique configuration. The c
avitation activity produced by high frequency sound waves cleans contaminated items inside and out. This unique cleaning method when properly applied is ideally suited for fire, smoke, and water damaged contents. A variety of standard and delicate household contents can be easily cleaned using the Ultrasonic especially hard surface items such as crystal, china, ceramics, hummels and ornaments, jewelry, glass and porcelains, etc. Many are unaware that the ultrasonic is ideally suited for safely cleaning electronic components, computers, electrical tools and appliances as well as light fixtures such as chandeliers. Contamination such as mold, heat scale and oxides are easily addressed using the ultrasonic process. Metal parts that have acquired rust as a result of water damage can usually be restored to their original condition.
Dustless Demolition
To ensure a dust free environment during controlled demolition special techniques are executed by our technicians. First, you can expect critical barriers to be set along with negative air pressure to contain the affect area. In addition Kett Saws are used to promote a dust free work space. The Kett saw is connected to a HEPA vacuum which then filters clean dust free air into the environment.
MMS Hygrometer/ Moisture Meters
It is vital during any project to use instruments that accurately monitor the progress of a job. Our technicians use the GE Protimeter MMS Plus to provide daily records of the drying conditions. The MMS Plus system combines three different meter functions into one convenient unit, plus it serves as a data logger. The hygrometer mode, measures the relative humidity, temperature, dew point, proximity to dew point, and grains per pound (GPP) with the modular, replaceable Protimeter Hygrostick. The pin measure mode, use the penetrating pins to determine the moisture content of wood and the Wood Moisture Equivalent (WME) value of other building materials. And the pin less measure, uses non-invasive radio frequencies to detect the presence of moisture without damaging materials.
